Donau City has grown over the last few decades into one of the most up-and-coming neighbourhoods in the city. The UN’s Vienna International Centre (VIC) and Westfield Donau Zentrum (which features 200 shops, restaurants, two gyms, a dance centre and multiplex cinema) are only a few minutes’ walk away while there are plenty of restaurants (ra'mien go dc tower is great for a buzzy lunch and friendly service), bars and supermarkets on your doorstep.

Getting around

Wiener Linien tickets and passes cover the whole city. Choose from single journey tickets, 24, 48, 72hr or eight-day network cards, or a weekly, monthly or annual network pass. There are also over 1,400 km of cycle routes, and if you hire a Citybike, the first hour’s free.
